Sensitive Skin Soap

This was the first soap I made with a defined mission. I wanted to create a bar that utilized healing herbs to address skin issues such as itchiness, eczema, and excessive dryness. I set to researching and found a menagerie of skin loving herbs that if not curative, would at least soothe the skin for humans that could be categorized as "delicate flowers" (me, I made it for me). Little did I know that making and using organic cold processed soap in general would do a lot of the heavy lifting to heal my skin, but the delicate care in developing this bar will always hold a tender place in my heart. 

The oils for this soap are infused with sarsaparilla (yes, you read that right), borage, plantain leaf, and lavender. I also used aloe vera juice, Brazilian purple clay and essential oils of lavender, vetiver and orange. I've topped it with purple borage flowers and lavender buds. This soap is bright, gentle and a staple for any sensitive girly (or manly-man).

All ingredients are organic and locally sourced when possible. Used herbs are offered back to Gaia as an offering of gratitude.

Ingredients: olive oil, shea butter, coconut oil, caster oil, sodium hydroxide (lye) aloe vera juice, borage, sarsaparilla, neem plantain, lavender, green Brazilian purple clay, lavender EO, vetiver EO, orange EO.
