In fact, within sects of sisterhood practiced in ancient times, the sisterhood of the blue rose were considered to be oracles, able to see things others could not. I also colored this bar with naturally occurring blue pigments from blue spirulina powder, indigo powder, Serbian blue clay and blue tansy EO. It is scented with lavender, rosemary and blue tansy EO. I topped it with lavender buds and blue cornflowers. This bar is amplified with sacred frequencies, perfect for a ritual bath paired with my blue lotus honey elixir for an elevated meditation experience, or to simply bathe in the intention of activating your own oracular gifts on the daily. Elderberry and elderflowers are really quite magical- and delicious. I make this with local honey and the alcohol makes it shelf stable. When I was beginning to put together a list of things I wanted in my apothecary, I was intent on creating something with blue lotus to be used in ceremony. I have worked with her in the past, and have found her medicine to be both potent and feminine- gentle. As an amplifier for lucid dreaming, third eye activation and ceremonial work for the Divine Feminine, I wanted to connect with the herb to ask her what she wanted to become. Tinctures are made with a high proof alcohol that alchemize over six weeks to extract the medicinal properties that can be used dropped in water for ingestion. But when I connected to blue lotus in meditation, she basically said,\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003cem\u003e\"Oh no you \u003cstrong\u003ewon't\u003c\/strong\u003e burn my petals with harsh alcohols. I'm delicate! I need to be treated gently.\"\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOf course I listened and backed off from the idea of a tincture immediately. She went on to communicate that she wanted to be a ceremonial modality to deliver pleasure to the pallet through sweetness. Honey. She wanted the women that worked with her to feel like they had been gifted a sweet treat that isn't harsh, but elevating. Gentle. Feminine. It \u003cstrong\u003ehad\u003c\/strong\u003e to be centered around the concept of pleasure. Of course, I would have to use alcohol to preserve and extract the compounds so we negotiated and settled on a lower alcohol content locally distilled huckleberry vodka with local honey and I added a percentage of high proof alcohol to hit the delivery and shelf stability sweet-spot \u003cem\u003eafter\u003c\/em\u003e the extraction was complete. This was a co-creation and an absolutely beautiful experience. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBlue lotus was historically used in ancient Egyptian initiatory rites for the priestesses to elevate communication between the realms and align fully with the stillness that is required by the lotus in order to bloom, as does the Divine Feminine in her own becoming. I have absolutely loved working intentionally with this elixir before meditation, bath, or bedtime to elevate the communication between my guides and myself. I also find that my dream recall is increased with its use as well. The essence of this herb was so perfectly aligned when stating that \u003cstrong\u003epleasure\u003c\/strong\u003e has to be a component to this work because I truly look forward to my communion with her and the sweet elixir as it hits my tongue. I will be shipping my butters and scrubs with ice, but be aware that these need to stay out of hot sun. If your butter happens to accidentally melt in your car, this is easily fixed! Just chill the butter in the fridge for about 15 minutes and then scoop it out and whip it with a beater or kitchen aid mixer until it fluffs up again. It will be as good as new.
